In order to obtain a student visa to come to RGBI, the applicant first needs to pay $100 (US) to be entered into the system called SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System). When the applicant is in this system, he may apply for his visa within one year. After a year has passed, he will need to pay another $100 whether he receives the visa or not! In some countries, such as Nicaragua, $100 may be a person’s salary for a month. So you can see that it is very difficult for our students to pay these high fees. Yet the need continues for well prepared workers with sound doctrinal teaching to minister in these countries.
With this in mind Please remember these young people who are going to the American embassies and consulates in their home countries, that God will grant them grace in the eyes of the officials who deal with their visa applications, and that those whom He has called will receive permission to join us in August.
We appreciate so very much your prayers and support in the Lord’s ministry here at RGBI.
Sincerely,
David Loyola
